In early April we analyzed the impact of COVID-19 on automotive parts aftermarket demand. Impact of COVID-19.
More than a month after the previous analysis, we will analyze the newest data to see how market demand has evolved.
In this table we can see the level of minimum demand reached in each country and the levels of demand that they had on April 4th and May 18th, 2020, compared to their average level in a normal situation.
Firstly, we can see that there have been countries where their demand level reached only a minimum of -20%, in Germany for example. Countries like Italy, Spain, France or the United Kingdom demand fell between -50% and -70% (although the recovery in demand has not been the same for all of them).
Regarding current demand levels, we can see that in all the countries analyzed, demand is only between -10% and -25% with respect to its average level in a normal situation, therefore we are quite close to reaching pre-COVID-19 levels.
Here we can see the demand volume graphs in the last 90 days:
We are starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel!
